Sporum Colection

The Sporum book collection is a collaboration of various authors generally associated with the Sporum project at the Centre for Biological Sciences of the Federal University of Santa Catarina. The books aim to present intriguing information about science produced at the University.
The first book, Sporum: dispersando curiosidades biológicas [Sporum: spreading biological curiosities], features a range of fascinating texts related to biological sciences, covering topics from fungi that turn ants into zombies to the language of neurons in our brains.
The second, Sporum: dispersando curiosidades científicas [Sporum: spreading scientific curiosities], has a broader scope. In it, each chapter delves into subjects as varied as biodiversity protection by indigenous peoples to the functioning of solar panels.
